I feel sorry for the City of New York to have such a scumbag for a mayor. Once again, he bought his way in. I hope NYC gets cleaned up, starting with taking out the garbage--Bloomberg himself. Peace!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JyiQKfAat4
It was a blast to watch the media report from a script and than be forced to back pedal and tell the truth which Mike had not won but the race was too close to call.
The New York Times and all the papers refused to report the truth about voter anger and on going protests all over the city.

We're probably going to do www.hacksandflacks.org in January. Maybe we'll have a New York section to track the Man Who Was Too Big to Fail. The New York Times bears a major responsibility for the shameless way they went into the tank for Bloomberg. But I'm mindful of Jane Jacobs response to a reporter who asked her about her life long fight with Robert Moses. She replied, "My only regret is that he made my life ridiculous." I may be misremembering that anecdote but that was the gist of it. My dear wife won't let that happen. We're off to San Miguel for a while.

Finally, there is the issue of whether the public will be mature enough to stop voting against their best interests--we'll see that play out in Washington in the next few weeks. The story that applies to that issue I suppose is the one involving Dorothy Parker. Playing a word game, she was asked to put the word "horticulure" in a sentence. She said--"You can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think."

Does this mean you are taking this site down? The next few years might be interesting due to the ongoing investigations of the city council.

It is ironic how the NYTimes supported a mayor who helped make their product irrelevant. I hardly see newsstands in any part of New York.
