Reading List: Bloomberg Pays for a Day in a Middle Class Home, Ignores IBO Report for Atlantic Yards

* The Daily News reports that Mayor Bloomberg paid $3,000 to film in a middle class home in Queens.

* Gotham Gazette reports that the basketball arena planned for Atlantic Yards is projected to to cost the city $40 million more than it will generate in tax revenues over a 30-year period, according to a report by the Independent Budget Office.

* Despite the IBO’s report that Atlantic Yards is a net-money loser for the city, Mayor Bloomberg continued to hail the project, reports The Observer. “I don’t know what the IBO studies would have shown back when they tried to establish the value of Central Park or Prospect Park or anything else,” he told reporters. “These are the kinds of projects you have to do because without that we don’t have a future, and we’re going to get this one done.”

* Christine Quinn has got to go.

* MarketWatch reports that Bloomberg is interested in BuinessWeek.
