Notes from Amsterdam
Our publisher, Neil Fabricant, frequently travels to Amsterdam. Actually, he’s there right now, and he reports that compared to New York, Amsterdam is a cesspool of sanity and tolerance. It’s not a surprise, then that Amsterdam ranks 13 in the Quality of Living Global City Rankings (New York ranks 49).
From Neil:
Under Rudy Giuliani, marijuana arrests were relatively rare. Under Bloomberg there have been well over 50,000. This, despite the fact that Bloomberg has said he smoked it and enjoyed it! It isn’t the marijuana but the hypocrisy that is breathtaking.
So with the knuckleheaded hypocrites like O’Reilly and Bloomberg leading the way, U.S drug policies will keep the massive drug profits in the hands of crooks, terrorists, and rogue elements of the CIA, the jails filled with harmless, innocent people, our cops corrupted, and the big shots able to smoke dope or do a line of cocaine now and then courtesy of the Taliban–and all in their secure mansions. Whatta World.
